Hello everybody!
I want to express my appreciation to the many of you who have offered your congratulation and assurance of prayers in my transition to the Vicar General role. I am grateful for your care and support. Thank you! As with any transition, there is increased stress and some uncertainty, but I have confidence in our staff and in God’s providence during this time. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and to use my gifts for the good of our local church. I look forward to the future and am so thankful to be on this journey with you.
Our campus has been closed for the past two days for the resealing of the main drive. It will still be a number of more days for all the parking areas to be completed, so I appreciate your patience as that work continues, having to park in various areas or use the back drive to get to the upper level. We also have a sort of sabbatical week for the staff this week, where they are encouraged to work from home and be more focused on personal, professional, or spiritual development, as well as, prayerful and strategic thinking about their ministries than focused on completing tasks. Please keep them in your prayers.
Finally, I hope you have enjoyed (or are enjoying) the 4th of July holiday. It is always a time of gratitude for me for the freedoms we have in the United States of America. Among those is the freedom of religion, which we should never take for granted. It is also an opportunity to offer prayer for those who face serious persecution and loss of life for practicing their faith around the world. May God be their strength and protection!
God bless you and our country.
Peace,
Fr. Jeff
